Farrell M. Reese age 89 of Clinton, passed away Sunday September 4, 2016 at Mercy Living Center South. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday September. 8th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday from 9:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery, where the Clinton AMVETS will conduct military honors. Farrell was born on April 9, 1927 in Gibbon Village, MN, the son of Howard and Hilda (Fjell) Reese. He served in the US Air Force during WWII, serving in Germany. He married Norma “Pat” Holland on September, 22, 1951 in Forrest City, IA. Pat passed away on April 21, 2008. He taught orchestra from 1965-1989 with the Clinton Community School District and was a K-Mart greeter for several years. Farrell was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, American Legion, and the Loyal Order of the Moose. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing the piano and violin. Farrell is survived by his two sons, Steven Reese and Scott Reese both of Clinton; three grandchildren, Erix, Sherri, and Jennifer; two great grandchildren; a brother, Milo (Georgia) Reese of Oregon, IL; and a sister, Joan Abraham of Gaylord, MN.
