The Clinton Herald Friday March 25, 1960 p. 15 Raymond Welsh, 55, of Cameron, Mo., former DeWitt resident, died early today in a Cameron hospital. He had been ill since Monday when he suffered a heart attack. The body will arrive late tonight at the McGinnis funeral home, DeWitt, where friends may call after 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Funeral arrangements will be announced. Mr. Welsh, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Welsh of DeWitt, leaves his widow, three sons, one brother and four sisters.
Saturday March 26, 1960 p. 8 Funeral services for Raymond Welsh, 55, of Cameron, Mo., former DeWitt resident, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday with a requiem mass in St. Joseph's Catholic church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Mr. Welsh died early Friday in a Cameron hsopital after several days illness. The body reposes in the McGinnis funeral home where friends may call after 7:30 p.m. today. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home by Rev. Francis P. Kelley. Raymond Richard Welsh, son of the late Richard and Estella McDonald Welsh, was born Jan. 27, 1905 at Petersville. He was graduated from DeWitt high school and attended Brown's Business college in Davanport. He was married to Evelyn Mooney Sept. 4, 1934 in Grand Mound. They farmed northwest of DeWitt for 21 years, moving to Missouri four years ago. Survivors are the widow; three sons, Richard, Charles and Gary at home; a brother, Leo of DeWitt, and four sisters, Mrs. Alice Burke of Chicago, Mrs. Leo Connell of DeWitt, Mrs. H.J. Wenzlik of Bremerton, Wash., and Geraldine of Iowa City. He was preceded by his parents.
