Clinton Herald Wednesday December 26, 1990 p.14 Evelyn Welsh Hufman, 80, of Hayward, formerly of Welton and Grand Mound, died Monday in her home. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, DeWitt, with the Rev. Joseph Denning officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Schultz-McGinnis Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Pallbearers, all grandchildren, will be Steve Lentz, Lori Wagner and Kelly, Mike, David and John Welsh. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Wagner, Sean Welsh and Louis Cohen. Mrs. Huffman was born Nov. 30, 1910, in Grand Mound, to William and Anna Cooper Mooney. She married Raymond Welsh, Sept. 4, 1934, in Grand Mound. He died in March of 1960. She later married Lafe Hufman, Feb. 12, 1966, in Rock Island. He died Sept. 4, 1974. She farmed in the Welton and Grand Mound area and was a member of St. Bede's Catholic Church in Hayward. Survivors include three sons, Richard Welsh of Hayward, Calif., Chuck Welsh of Libertyville, Ill., and Gary Welsh of San Jose, Calif., seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Donald (Margaret) Dalton of Delmar. Death date: Dec. 24, 1990.
