Clinton Herald Wednesday 11 May 1981 p. 15 Mass of the Christian Burial for Ralph E. Kross, 70, of 830 7th Ave. S., will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Church. Mr. Kross died Tuesday in Hot Springs, Ark. The Rev. L.D. Soens and Robert J. Busher will officiate. Burial will be in St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Pape Funeral Home. There will be a joint St. Mary's Parish and Knights of Columbus Rosary 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Pallbearers will be Jay Kurth, John Connole, C.J. Kross, Mike Crowley, Tom Miller and Stephen Witt. Mr. Kross was born April 12, 1910, in Clinton County, to C.R. and Kathry McGraff Kross. He married Catharine Connole June 6, 1938, in DeWitt. He was employed for 44 years at the former Curtis Co., where he was a corporate officer. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, and church trustee, honorary member of St. Edward's Council Knights of Columbus and Loras General Assembly No. 532 Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus of Davenport. Survivors include his wife; a son, Edward J. of Clinton; three granddaughters; a brother, Earl Kross of Mesa, Ariz.; and a sister, Mrs. Better Miller of Dubuque. He was preceded in death by a brother.
