The Clinton Herald, Saturday December 28, 1991, p.12 Irene M. O'Brien, 90, 1522 N. 4th St., died Friday at Samaritan North after an extended illness. The Mass of the Chursitan Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Irenaeus Church. The Rev. Thomas Parlette will officiate. Burial will be at St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. A vigil service will be at 4 p.m. and the Daughters of Isabella Rosary will be at 4:30 p.m., both Sunday, at Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Pape Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Stephen Arlen, Mark Arlen, Tom O'Brien, Edward F. Meeker, Craig Bush and Rick Jorgensen. Mrs. O'Brien was born July 22, 1901, in Andover to Mr. and Mrs. James P. McGrath. She was married to Joseph J. O'Brien on Sept. 17, 1924, in Clinton. Mr. O'Brien died in 1971. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish, St. Irenaeus Church, the Lady of the Fatima of St. Irenaeus and Daughters of Isabella. She was a volunteer worker for Mercy Hospital for 33 years. She is survived by two daughters; Mrs. JoAnn Arlen of Clinton and Mrs. Pete (Mary Grace) Freyschlag of Denver, Colo.; one son, David J. O'Brien of Coon Rapids, Min., and 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son. Death date: Dec. 27, 1991.
