The Clinton Herald Thursday August 5, 1982 p. 13 Mrs. Ruth "Bonnie" Jefferies, 64, of 1623 Dubuque Court, was found dead at her home Wednesday of natural causes. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Community Congregational Church, with the Rev. Leon Willhite officiating. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery. Three will be no visitation. Snell-Zornig Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Jefferies was born Oct. 18, 1917, in Clinton, to Bernard and Mary Jensen Bohnson. She married Lyle M. Jefferies Jr., Nov. 4, 1939, in South Bend, Ind. He died in June 1971. She was a lifetime resident of Clinton and a graduate of Lyons High School and the University of Iowa. She was a member of J.N. Chapter of PEO, Clinto Art Association, Jane Lamb Agatha Auxiliary, Mercy Hospital Auxiliary and American Association of University Women. She was a volunteer for Mobile Meals. Survivors include a son, Daniel T. Jefferies of Clinton; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son and a brother.
