The Clinton Herald Monday June 18, 1979 p. 11 The funeral Mass was this morning in St. Helen's Catholic Church, Vero Beach, Fla., for Edward J. Lynch, 72, of Vero Beach, formerly of Clinton, who died Friday in Vero Beach. Burial was in Crestlawn Cemetery. He was born in Clinton, May 26, 1907, the son of Albert J. and Theresa Weinbeck Lynch. His family settled in Clinton County in 1840. He married Catherine E. Mallary of Clinton Dec. 22, 1933, in Passaic, N.J. Mr. Lynch was a retired vice president of Sylvania Electric Co. of New York. Survivors include his wife of Vero Beach; two sons, E. Joseph, of Ankeny, Iowa, and Steven A., of Upper St. Clair, Pa.: a daughter, Mrs. Karen Shanahan, DeWitt, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Raymond J., Bethseda, Md.; and two sisters, Mrs. Paul Holleran and Mrs. Vincent Kearney, both of Clinton.
