Nancy C. Ketelsen, 83, of Clinton, passed away, Monday, April 25, 2016 at the Alverno Nursing Home.

Funeral Services will be 12:00pm, Noon, Friday, April 29, 2016, at Chancy Lutheran Church, with visitation from 10:00am to the service time. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Ketelsen, Kirk Ketelsen, Bob Ketelsen, Kieran Ketelsen, Jerry Saddoris, Jim Mullin, and Terje Peterson. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family.

Nancy Christine Hardersen was born on November 11, 1932 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of William and Else (Gore) Hardersen. She was a 1950 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Gilbert Ketelsen on May 1, 1960 in Clinton; he preceded her in death on March 17, 2007.

Nancy was a loving mother and homemaker in addition to working as an illustrator, clerical worker and child care provider. She was a member of Chancy Lutheran Church where she served on the church council, women’s group, and children’s choir.

Nancy is survived by one son: Eric (Tess) Ketelsen of St. Paul, Minnesota; two daughters: Anne (Jim) Mullin of Goose Lake, Iowa, and Aimee (Terje) Peterson of Waconia, Minnesota; eight grandchildren: Kieran Ketelsen, Natalie Ketelsen, Nate Mullin, Sam Mullin, Reagan Mullin, Makena Peterson, Connor Peterson, and Linnea Peterson; and her sister: Janice Hurst of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
