Elaine R. Cramer age 86 of Clinton, passed away Saturday May 14, 2016 at the Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton. Private family services were held today at the Oakland Cemetery. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Memorials may be given to the Alverno Health Care Facility or St. John Lutheran Church. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com. Elaine was born on Sept. 19, 1929 in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Kopp) Sebald. She graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1947. She married LeRoy Cramer on April 15, 1950 in Dubuque; he died in 2015. She worked with the Clinton Community Schools in special education and with Riverbend; where she retired. Elaine volunteered with Mercy Auxiliary, where she logged in over 5300 hours. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and enjoyed hosting and going to garage sales. Elaine is survived by her three children, Linda (Bill) Balk of Thomson, IL, Robin (James Pott) Crouch of Grenada, MS, and Scott (Lou Stahl) Cramer of Fulton, IL; seven grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter - Sandy in 2009, and a brother.
