Betty R. Kelly, 82, of Marion, formerly of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital – Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Funeral Services were held on Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial was in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Betty Ruth Roggendorf was born on March 8, 1934, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Alice (Johnson) Roggendorf. She was a1952 graduate of Lyons High School. She married Donald Kelly on August 16, 1952 in Clinton; he died August 6, 2001.

Betty worked at Nielsen’s and Mercy Medical Center.

Betty enjoyed playing bingo, visiting the casino, loved watching American Idol and the Young and the Restless. She was a very competitive bowler and loved spending time with her family.

Betty is survived by her children: Sherry (Richard Hemminger) Kelly of Marion, Iowa, Karen Sager of Indianapolis, Indiana, Peggy (Creighton) Regenwether of Clinton; two sons: Donald Kelly, Jr., and Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Mike (Nicole) Kelly of South Dakota; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; her sister-in-law: Brenda Roggendorf of Bettendorf, and her beloved dog: Buddy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a granddaughter, four sisters, and two brothers.
