Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Gene Hart II, Jimmy LaDouceur, Wendell Clausen, and Larry Cornelius. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory.

Bobby Gene Hart was born February 17, 1935 in Sleeper, Missouri, the son of Arthur and Maude (Shadrick) Hart. He attended the Lebanon High School in Lebanon, Missouri. He married the love of his life, Joyce Wiebers, on January 9, 1954 in Morrison, Illinois.

Bob moved to Iowa in his late teens. After finding both work and the young woman he would eventually marry, he made Camanche his permanent residence. He worked on the railroad, at John Deere, and later at Ralston Purina, where he was a supervisor. His work ethic was second-to-none, a trait he strived to pass on to others.

Bob loved fishing, hunting, and trapping, and eagerly passed on his knowledge and expertise to his son, grandchildren, and to many other young men in the area. He enjoyed playing horse shoes and checkers and was virtually unbeatable at both. He played the guitar and had mastered the art of karaoke, specializing in Johnny Cash songs. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed going to garage sales and auctions. He coached Little League Baseball in Camanche for many years and previously served as a Boy Scouts Leader. He enjoyed vacationing regularly in Cocoa Beach, Florida with his family. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and had an incredible gift of making everyone feel special. Bob was a strong and well-respected leader, as well as a gentle, loving husband, father, and "papa". He will be deeply missed by those who loved him so much.

Bob is survived by his wife, Joyce of Camanche, 3 children: Craig (Rhonda) Hart of Lebanon, Missouri, Brenda (Mark) Waldorf of Camanche, and Lori (Joe) Bonnell of Camanche; 13 grandchildren: Jeremy (Gloria) Hart, Jessica (Jeremy) Weaver, Chad (Jennifer) LaDouceur, Joshua (Michelle) Hart, Mark (Devan) LaDouceur, Jaime (Dillon) Denney, Tara (Jay) Petersen, Bobby Hart, Jimmy LaDouceur, Sammi (Scott) Jones, Joe (Danielle) Bonnell, Lindsay Bonnell, and Stephanie (Steven) Phillips; 25 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 sisters: Alberta Rogers of Lebanon, Missouri and Maxine (Richard) Goffe of Lebanon, Missouri; 1 brother: Clyde (Alberta) Hart of Lebanon, Missouri; special friend, caregiver, and checkers buddy: Larry Cornelius of Goose Lake; his little buddy, Bo; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, his wife’s parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.
