Catherine Elizabeth Brooks, 89, of Clinton, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the Alverno, Clinton.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 15, 2016 from 2 to 5PM at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. The visitation will conclude with a prayer.
Catherine was born January 20, 1927 in Clinton, the daughter of Frank and Ida Bartels. She was educated in the Charlotte and North East Schools.
She retired from the Clinton Garment company after many years of employment.
She had been a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Charlotte.
Catherine is survived by her son, Jeff Brooks of Clinton; grandchildren, Erin Beal of Camanche; Mandy Hodge of Camanche; Kim Streater of Maquoketa and Heather Tickey of Iowa Falls and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Marcia Brooks Coughran.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Alverno for making her last days pleasant.
