Edward C. Anderson age 95 of Harriman, TN, formerly of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Ben Atchley Veterans Home in Knoxville, TN.

Mr. Anderson has been cremated, as were his wishes. Visitation will be from 9:30am-10:30am at Snell-Zornig Funeral Home in Camanche, Iowa on Friday, January 22, 2016 with a memorial service at 10:30am. Immediately following the memorial service will be a burial service at Rose Hill Cemetery in Camanche. The service will be officiated by Paul Willis, with several grandchildren speaking.

Mr. Anderson was honorably discharged from The United States Marine Corps in December of 1945, he went to work for Dupont in 1947 and retired in 1983 when he and his wife, Jean, decided to move to Harriman, TN. Mr. Anderson was a member of The First Christian Church of Harriman. He was an avid reader and had every Louis L’Amour book written. He also loved to play golf.

Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents, John and Christine Anderson, wife of 62 years Jean Westgate Anderson, daughter Patty Jo Shadid, brother Fred (Bud) Anderson, and sister Florence Grandchamp.

Survived by daughters Sandra Moore of Rockwood, TN, Marilyn (Gary) Axton, of Mt. Vernon, Indiana, Vicki (Max) Sturtevant of Blairsburg, Iowa, 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
