Funeral services for Henry L. Siemsen, 84, were held at the Runge chapel, Davenport, March 25, with the Rev. Harold Koenig officiating. Burial was in the Dixon cemetery with graveside services by Harbor Lodge No. 556, AF&AM. Pallbearers were William Rock, Jerry Greve, Art Wiese, Dextor Gibson, Frank Schneider and Les Johansen.
Mr. Siemsen, formerly of Dixon, died at Wheatland Manor Nursing home March 23.
The son of Claus and Dora Buck Siemsen, he was born at Albion, Nebr. Jan. 1, 1904. He married Eleanor Lembke at Rock Island, Ill., March 23, 1932. He married Viola Siemsen in Dixon March 1, 1973.
He farmed in the Dixon area and raised purebred Angus cattle. He had previously been a trucker. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wheatland, Harbor Lodge AF&AM, the Davenport Consistory, Kaaba Shrine Temple, Davenport, the Scott County Farm Bureau, a lifetime member of the American Angus association and past president of the Eastern Iowa Angus association.
He is survived by his wife; 3 daughters, Mrs. Jerold (Donna)Jensen, Lowden; Mrs. John (Marilyn) McCammant, Eldridge and Mrs. Robert (Karen) Lumsden, Worthington, Ohio; 2 sons, Richard, Dixon and Randall, Long Grove; a step-daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Frieda) Conrad, Clarence; 13 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Dora Partington, Greensboro, N.C. and Alice Ferguson, Longmont, Colo. and a brother Ernest, Vasalia, Calif.
