Mildred Emma Cox, 94, of Clinton, passed away on December 21, 2015, at Mercy Living Center North in Clinton. A visitation for friends and family will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 11:00 am - 1:00pm at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. A prayer service will conclude the visitation at 1:00pm. A private family burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery – DeWitt.

Mildred Emma was born on July 20, 1921, in DeWitt, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Emma (Knutsen) Ericksen. She married John Francis (Jack) Cox on September 8, 1947 in DeWitt; he died January 21, 2004. If you were blessed to have known Mildred, you know her family was her world. You could see her love, devotion and kindness through her ever present smile. Mildred worked at Jane Lamb Hospital for many years in Central Supply and Purchasing. She loved to sing and always had a musical selection to offer everyone. She loved the Cubs and was an avid sports fan.

Mildred is survived by seven children, Janet (Ken) Hartman of Carlsbad, CA, Bill (Pamm Barger) of Ankeny, IA, Richard (Patty Morrissey) of Dixon, IL, Kenneth of Camanche, IA, Susan (Glenn Christensen) Maher of Tekamah, NE, Jackie (Charlie) Mulholland of Clinton, and Roger (Kathy Sullivan) of Clinton,14 grandchildren, Jon, Erick, Jinifer, Sara, Abby, Willie, Catie, Kara, Kristin, Tom, Jessie, Missy, Becky, and Joe, and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son David, her seven brothers and sisters and their spouses, as well as her husband's siblings and spouses.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to a charity of your choice.
