Dorothy A. Johnson, 67, of Clinton, died Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Clarissa C. Cook, Bettendorf, Iowa.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Chancy Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM, Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ken Hoggard, Christopher Swanson, Jerry Archer and Derek Pillers.
Dorothy was born July 22, 1948 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Helen (Mohr) Swanson. She was a 1966 Clinton High graduate and she attended Irvine Valley College, Irvine CA. Dorothy married Gary Allan Johnson in Clinton on July 17, 1971; he died October 10, 2010.
She was employed with the Santa Ana, California, Unified School District for many years and she also did various accounting jobs.
She was an active member of Chancy Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Tami (David) Turner of Davenport, IA; son, Todd Johnson of Bellflower, CA; grandchildren, Bre and Jake Turner; many nieces and nephews and her crazy church ladies at Chancy Lutheran Church.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Swanson.
Memorials may be made to the family for a charity of their choice.
