Daniel A. Schimerowski, 26, of Clinton passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 at his home- Clinton.

Daniel Alan Schimerowski was born June 24, 1989 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Michael and Deborah (Springman) Schimerowski. He was a 2008 graduate of Clinton High School. In 2012, he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the Pyschology program at the University of Northern Iowa.
Dan worked at Target during High School. He had worked as a respite care provider at New Choices and for private clients since High School. He was a volunteer with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and had currently been studying to be an Emergency Medical Technician through Clinton Community College.
Music was a big part of Dan’s life; he listened to all different kinds of music and played the guitar. He enjoyed walking along the Mississippi River, fishing, gaming, and hanging out with friends. He had attained his black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Dan was known best for his big heart, his big laugh, and his bear hugs.
Dan is survived by his mother Deb (Craig Wehr) Schimerowski of Eldridge, Iowa; father Mike (Lee Bertoncella) Schimerowski of Earling, Iowa; three sisters: Sarah (Jeff Ryland) Schimerowski of Clinton, Nicole (Evan Miller) Schimerowski of Ames, Iowa, and Katie Schimerowski of Eldridge, Iowa; maternal grandfather Nick Springman of Portsmouth, Iowa; paternal grandmother: Mary Lou Schimerowski of Earling, Iowa; devoted friend: Dru Redler of Maquoketa, Iowa, and many other family member and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Lavonne Springman and his paternal grandparents: James Schimerowski, Joyce McAllister and Tom Bertoncella.
