Wanda M. Hammond age 84 of Clinton passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015
at the Alverno Health Care Facility. Cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be held 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, Dec. 21, 2015 at the Pape Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, Dec. 22nd
at the River Church at 823 S. 3rd St., Clinton. After the church service, graveside services will be held at Miles City Cemetery. Following the graveside service, a luncheon will be held at Rastrelli’s in Clinton. Memorials may be given to the River Church.

Wanda was born on May 20, 1931 in Clark County, Iowa, the daughter of Bruce and Flossie (Erb) Kelley. She married Donald Hammond on June 4, 1950 in Miles, IA. She was a school teacher at a one room school house near Bryant, IA and worked as a bank teller at the Miles Savings Bank for 19 years. She was active with the County Corral. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, and was active with her church.

Wanda is survived by her three children, Michael (Susan Dibble) Hammond of Arlington Heights, MA, Roxanne (Craig) Gustaveson of Iowa City, IA, and Robin (James) Kroymann of Clinton, IA; 9 grandchildren, Andrew, Timothy, Douglas, Lyndsey, Samuel, Michael, Scott, Jon, and Rory; 11 great grandchildren; two sisters, Kathleen Beal of Holland, MI and Judy (Werner) Paulsen of Moline, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Mark and Rory, two brothers, and a sister. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com
