Linda B. (King) Cox, age 68, of Fulton, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospitals. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 10th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Tyrus Taylor, Johnny Reed, Jr., Ronald Gibson, Jr., Keegan and Corbin Van Kampen and MaKai Hart. Memorials may be given to the family.
Linda was born in New Boston, IL on September 13, 1947, the daughter of Wesley and Blanche (Stewart) Bousman. She had been at Nestle Purina (E.S.B.) for 15 years, retiring in 2011. She had also worked as a cook at the Fulton Elementary School and at the Silver Dollar. She enjoyed spending time and taking care of her family, camping, playing cards and Yahtzee, cooking, fishing, and watching movies, especially the Madea movies.
Linda is survived by her husband, Steve Cox of Fulton; five children, Donna (Darek “Rock”) Goldensoph of Clinton, David (Krista) Gibson of Clinton, Ronald (Linda Proffitt) Gibson, Sr. of Clinton, Butch (Tracy) Van Kampen of Fulton and Tess (Warren Williams) Van Kampen of Fulton; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; two sisters, Ann (Jeff) Laughrey of Hanover, PA, and Mary Bousman of Clinton; and a brother, Bob Bousman of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her late husband, Bob King and four brothers and sisters, Paula, Willis, Jackie and Martha. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
