Ruth Alice Harlock Daugert age 70, of Clinton, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center North. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 30, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church. A gathering of family and friends will be from 10:00 A.M. until the service time Monday at the church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Corey Gluesing, Eric Schaefer, Bryan and Rodney Christiansen and Eddie Klienschmidt. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Ruth was born in Clinton County on December 2, 1944, the daughter of William H. and Everil B. (Lange) Harlock. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1963 and received her AA Degree from Clinton Community College in 1990. Ruth married Harlan Whiting in 1964. She was employed at Northwestern Bell as a long distance operator from 1964 to 1979. Ruth was a baptized and confirmed member of St. John Lutheran Church. She had been a member of the Early Bird Bowling League at the Plaza for many years.

Ruth is survived by two sons, Joel W. Whiting and Matthew W. Whiting both of Clinton; a granddaughter, Stephanie J. Whiting; and two sisters, Velma (Gerald) Christiansen of Longview, WA and Ellen (Harlan) Gluesing of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials may be made to the Clinton Lutheran Hour.
