Darlene C. Mumm age 88, of Clinton, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Alverno Health Care Facility. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday November 30th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday from Noon until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. Casket bearers will be her grandchildren, Scott and Jeremy Byers, Travis Reter, Robbie and Bryan Anson and Hillary Murphy. Darlene was born on August 23, 1927 in Andover, IA, the daughter of LeRoy and Bernice (Thielen) Hagge. She graduated from Lyons High School. She married Henry Mumm on February 16, 1947 in Clinton. Henry passed away on June 17, 2000. Darlene and Henry owned and operated the Follett’s General Store for many years. She had also worked at the Clinton Credit Bureau. She was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge. Darlene enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening and was also an avid Chicago Bears and Iowa Hawkeye fan.

Darlene is survived by her five daughters, Carol Byers of Madison, WI, Vicki (Mark) Holle of Dane, WI, Sandy (Clark) Reter of Folletts, IA, Karen (Steve) Murphy of Clinton, and Kathy (Tracy) Anson of Clinton; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Marlene Melvin and Jeanne Mumm both of Clinton; and three brothers-in-law, Pete Mumm of Morton, IL, John DeWitt of Clinton, and Olen McVicker of Camanche. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and two sisters.
