Adam J. Herrig, age 47 of Camanche, Iowa, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospitals following an extended illness. In following Adam’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 noon on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Davenport. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 10:30 A.M. until the service time Monday at the church. The Pape Funeral Home, Clinton, is assisting the family.

Adam was born in Davenport on November 27, 1967, the son of Paul M. and Arlene (Mitchell) Herrig. He graduated from Davenport West High School and received his A.A. Degree from Hamilton Tech. Adam married Amy Fennelly on July 22, 1989 in Davenport. He later married Karen Burman on December 11, 2013 in Las Vegas. Adam was employed at ALCOA. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church. He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, golfing, and was an avid reader.

Adam is survived by his wife Karen; two sons, Lucas and Callahan Herrig both of Davenport; his parents, Paul and Arlene Herrig of Davenport; six brothers and sisters, Lisa (Richard) Cooksey of Bettendorf, Paul (Katy Morgan) Herrig of Davenport, Amy (Doug) Valentine of Cedar rapids, Laura (Robert) Shaw of Davenport, Pete (Lisa) Herrig of Davenport and Mike (Wendy) Herrig of Dubuque; two step-children, Krista (Brian) Deur of Holland, MI and Kari (Eric) Dyjak of Ankeny, IA; five step-grandchildren, Myleigh, Madelynn, Charlie, Avary and Austin; his father and mother-in-law, Charles and Helen Leavens of Clinton; two sisters-in-law, Charlotte (Dave) Daehler of Thomson, IL and Jan (Herb) Benshoof of Fishers, IN and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a sister-in-law, Joan Terese Herrig. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
