Evelyn M. Mahmens age 82 of Clinton, passed away Tuesday Oct. 6, 2015 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday 9:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Scott and Mark Mahmens, Keith and Raymond Malone, Steve, Jeff, and Mark Eickert, and Brian Schafer. Memorials may be given to the Clarissa Cook Hospice House. Evelyn was born on March 4, 1933 in Clinton, the daughter of Henry and Alma (Meinert)
Eickert. She graduated from Miles High School in 1951. She married Wayne Mahmens on May 5, 1951 in Clinton. She was a homemaker and enjoyed bowling and golfing. Evelyn and her husband farmed together until his death in 1994. She will be remembered always having a smile on her face.

Evelyn is survived by her two sister-in-law’s, Shirley Eickert of Parkersburg, WV and Verly Mahmens of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, and two sisters.
