Jenean M. Eickert, age 81 of Miles, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery on Monday morning. Casket bearers will be Lonnie Eickert, II, Shane Eickert, Brett Hoyer, Shawn Coppess, Braeden Hoyer, Cory Coppess and C.J. Unruh.

Jenean was born in the Crawford tenant house in Jackson County, Iowa on May 21, 1934, the daughter of Raymond and Gladys (Gradert) Ronnfeldt. She graduated from Miles High School in 1952. Jenean married Harvey Eickert on January 27, 1954 in Clinton. Harvey passed away on March 23, 2011. She and her sisters-in-law worked as wall paper hangers, painters and cleaners. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching, taking road trips and polka music. She loved to watch her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s sporting events and school activities and she faithfully took care of her husband during his illness.

Jenean is survived by four children; Laurie (John) Hoyer of Miles; Lenral “Pete“(Brenda) Eickert of Preston; Lonnie “Hans” (Rhonda) Eickert of Preston, and Lesley Eickert of Arlington Heights, IL; 8 grandchildren, Tamara, Mindy, Amy, Lonnie, Sheena, Shane, Lacey and Libby and 11 great grandchildren, Brett, Shawn, Avery, Braeden, Cora, Drake, Aiden, James, Kainan, Lucas and Kallie. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Leanne in 2010; a sister, Joyce and two brothers, Leon and Louis. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
