Funeral services for Harold S. Barenthin, 79, were held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wheatland, Oct. 28 with the Rev. Richard Hartshorn officiating. Burial was in the Massillon cemetery. Pallbearers were Wallace Petersen, Wallace Lange, Myron Schneider, Roger Riedesel, Darrell Zeller and Neil Voita. Margery Wiebel was the organist and Jimmy Hicks sang.

Mr. Barenthin died at the Wheatland Manor Nursing Home Oct. 25.

The son of Albert and Anna Mangon Barenthin, he was born Dec. 7, 1907 at Fenton, Ill. He married Nora Ziegler in Rock Island, Ill. Sept. 8, 1951. He was employed as a machinist at John Deere, Rock Island, Ill.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Ron (Nancy) Folid, St. Paul, Minn.; a son, Gerald, Bettendorf; 2 sisters, Florence Licht and Mrs. Erwin Meier, both of Lowden and 3 brothers, Albert, Palo, Ill.; Lawrence, Apache Junction, Ariz. and Marvin, Lacrosse, Wisc.
