Mrs. D. V. (Elsa) Harrison 1915-1989

Mrs. D. V. Harrison died Dec. 25, 1989 in Spokane, Wash., after suffering a stroke at her home Dec. 22. A memorial service and burial will be held in early spring at Coulee Dam, Wash.

Elsa Harrison was born Nov. 14, 1915 at Twin Brooks, SD., the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Dienst Zeigler. She attended rural schools and high school in South Dakota. The family moved to Iowa in 1932 following the death of her father.

She graduated from Wheatland High school in 1933 and attended business college in Cedar Rapids.

She moved to Coulee Dam, Wash., in 1945, and worked for Columbia Basin REA. She married D. V. Harrison Sept. 9, 1943, and they lived in Coulee Dam until Mr. Harrison's death in 1962 when she moved to Spokane.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Sharon)Riordon, a son Raymond and one grandson, all of Spokane, one sister, Mrs. Nora Barenthin and one brother, Frederick Zeigler, both of Wheatland. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
