Funeral services for Mrs. Robert (Bertha Katherine) Crosthwaite, 76, were held at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran church, Lost Nation March 3 with the Rev. Craig Bowyer officiating. Burial was in the Lost Nation cemetery. Pallbearers were Allan and Duane Deerberg, Michael and Monte Kann and Gregg and Mark Mohl. Jason Earles was an honorary pallbearer. Sandra Snyder was organist and Joan Clapp vocalist.
Mrs. Crosthwaite died at the Maquoketa Care center March 1.
The daughter of Herman and Anina Dressler Burzlaff, she was born at Grand Mound April 29, 1911. She married Robert Crosthwaite in Grand Mound Feb. 5,1935. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran church, the Women's circle and the Hearthstone club.
Mrs. Crosthwaite is survived by her husband, 3 daughters, Mrs. Harlan (Florence) Deerberg, Lowden; Mrs. Gary (Alice) Mohl, Lost Nation and Mrs. Marvin (Linda) Earles, Port Orchard, Wash.; 2 brothers, Harry Burzlaff, DeWitt and Walter Burzlaff, Colorado Springs, Colo.; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Leon (Doris) Kann; a grandson, Jeffrey Earles and a great-granddaughter, Tracy Barnes.
