Rose G. Luckiesh Rodegheir, 84, of 229 S. Main St., died Saturday in Jackson County Public Hospital, from injuries suffered from a car-pedestrian accident near her home.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Maquoketa, with the Rev. William McLaughlin officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today in Haylock, O'Hara and Kedley Funeral Home, where a 7 p.m. rosary will be recited. Burial will be St. Joseph's Cemetery, Sugar Creek.
Mrs. Rodegheir was born July 22, 1904 in Sugar Creek, to Joseph and Mary Rossman Luckiesh. She married Christopher Rodegheir in 1942. He died in April of 1982. She was a employed as a registered nurse in the Chicago area for 52 years, retiring in 1972. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include a brother, Francis, of Port Orchard, Wash; five sisters, Mayme Sterbenz of Iowa Park, Texas, Margaret Arlen of Chicago, Agnes Longmore of Bellevue, Emma Diedrich of Maquoketa, and Bernadine Collignon of Holiday, Fla; and many neices and nephews.
