The funeral for Edward Sterk, 66, of Baldwin was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lost Nation. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lost Nation. The Rev. Frank Martinez officiated.
Mr. Sterk died Friday, Aug. 3 at Jackson County Public Hospital.
Friends and relatives called at the the Malamphy Funeral Home in Lost Nation on Moday.
He was born March 31, 1918 at Baldwin to John and Rosa Gregorich Sterk. He married Ethel Stott on June 7, 1950. He farmed all his married life.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, the Lost Nation Booster Club, the Farm Bureau, a Maquoketa bowling league and he served on the Rustic Park board.
Survivors include his wife.
