Mrs. C. A. Tobey, 75, died suddenly Monday afternoon in her home four miles north of Princeton. Funeral arrangements are pending in the Bragonier-Fay chapel at Clinton, where friends may call beginning Wednesday noon.

Orie Estella Pelham was born Jan. 30, 1887 in Low Moore, the daughter of Cyrenus and Charlotte J. Taylor Pelham. She was married to Clair Tobey, April 10, 1906. The Tobeys celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last April. They had lived on the same farm for 43 years.

Survivors are two sons, Howard of DeWitt and Clyde of Princeton; to daughters, Mrs. Ray (Pearl) Erling of Long Grove and Mrs. Werner (Ruby) Hein of Clinton; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and one brother Dean.

She was preceded in death by two sons, one grandson, the parents, one brother and one sister.
