Paul K. Lorenzen, age 55, of Goose Lake, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center-North in Clinton. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Charlotte, Iowa. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Charlotte. The Pape Funeral Home, Clinton, is assisting the family. Burial will be held at Glahn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Tim Petersen, Paul Kruse, Byron Bielenberg, Russell Sellnau, Ben Roling and J.P. Paul was born June 4, 1959, in Clinton, the son of Carl and Kathleen (Bielenberg) Lorenzen. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1977 and received his A.A. degree from Clinton Community College. He married Rhonda Rogis on Nov. 22, 1986, in Clinton. Paul worked for Clinton County in the Secondary Road Department for over 29 years. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Charlotte. He enjoyed going for walks and spending time with his friends and family.

Paul is survived by his wife, Rhonda Lorenzen, Goose Lake; four children, Ashley (J.P.) Trenkamp, Charlotte; Amber (Ben) Roling, Goose Lake; Mathew Lorenzen, Cherry Point, N.C.; and Nathan Lorenzen, Goose Lake; a grandson, Koen Trenkamp; his mother, Kathleen Lorenzen, Clinton; two brothers, Eric (Julie) Lorenzen, Albuquerque, N.M., and John (Anna) Lorenzen, Bryant, Iowa; a sister, Karen Lorenzen, Davenport; and his father-in-law, Billy Rogis, Clinton. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Lorenzen, in 2001; his grandparents; and mother-in-law, Marilyn Rogis, in 2008.
