The Clinton Herald Thursday August 3, 1944; Page 12 Mrs. Bruce E. Corliss, Sacramento, Calif., died Sunday in her home, after several months illness, according to word received here by her brother, F.L. Holleran. Funeral services for Mrs. Corliss will be conducted Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Eagle Grove, Iowa Catholic church. Burial will be in Eagle Grove cemetery. Mrs. Corliss was born Aug. 13, 1878, in Fulton, Ill., the daughter of James and Adelia Holleran. She married Burce E. Corliss, formerly of Clinton, July 25, 1905, and the couple moved to Eagle Grove immediately following the ceremony. Mrs. Corliss lived in Eagle Grove until three years ago when she left Iowa to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. R.E. Foley, in Los Angeles, Calif. Three months ago, Mrs. Corliss and her daughter moved to Sacramento. Surviving, besides Holleran and Mrs. Foley, are two sons, Lt. F.R. Corliss, of the army air corps, and Charles W. Corliss, Los Angeles, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. C.L. Prentiss, Omaha, Neb. Mr. and Mrs. F.L. Holleran and Paul B. Holleran, a nephew, Clinton, and Mrs. L.J. Miltner, Davenport, will attend the funeral. Mrs. Corliss was preceded in death by her husband, who died Dec. 11, 1939.
