Bruce Raymond Strub, 57, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away, Friday, October 24, 2014 at the University of Iowa. A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held, Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 3 PM at the Eagles Club, 222 South Second Street, Clinton. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory assisted with arrangements.

Bruce was born January 16, 1957 in La Crosse, WI, the son of Kenneth and Maggie (Verdon) Strub. He married Frieda Scott on February 26, 1999 in Clinton.

Bruce was employed in construction for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Frieda; sons, Jeremy (Brandy) Strub of Waukon, IA and Jason (Katie) Strub of Cedar Falls, IA; daughters, Jessica Lestina of Prairie du Chien, WI and Jacqueline Lestina of La Crosse, WI; 13 grandchildren and sisters, Rose (Bill) Trussoni of Stoddard, IA and Renee (Kenny) Strub-Johanningmeier of Garnavillo, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
