Henry Clayburn Clark, Jr. 83, of Clinton passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Alverno, Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 11 AM Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Saint Paul Lutheran Church, Clinton. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until the service hour Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted by the Clinton AMVETS. Pallbearers will include his sons-in-law, James Peterson and Robert Hanssen. The Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.

Henry Clayburn Clark, Jr. was born on January 19, 1931 in Nashville, Tennessee. The family was transferred to Clinton by DuPont in 1941. He was a 1949 graduate of Clinton High School. He was united in marriage to Patricia Kathleen Pape on February 15, 1953 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clinton.
Following high school he served in the National Guard for four years followed by a four year enlistment in the United States Air Force.
Henry was a machine operator at DuPont for 43 ½ years, retiring in 1993.
Henry was a member of St. Paul Lutheran church and sang in the church choir for over 40 years. He served two terms on the church council and bowled in the church league. Henry enjoyed traveling, playing cards with friends, working in the yard and Cubs baseball.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, of Clinton and two daughters; Debra (James) Peterson of Bryant, IA and Cynthia (Robert) Hanssen of Davenport, IA.
Memorials may be made to the Saint Paul Lutheran Church Choir.
