Charleen J. Anson, 82, of Camanche, passed away, October 9, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center – North Campus, Clinton.

Funeral Services will be 1:30pm Monday, October 13, 2014 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church – Camanche. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Cole Anson, Kyle Anson, Bryan Anson, Robbie Anson, Katie Malli, Ben DeVos, and Jack Anson. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.

Charleen Jensen was born on April 8, 1932 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Helen (Goenne) Jensen. She married Willis W. Anson on May 10, 1952 in Yuma, Arizona.

She was a 1950 graduate of Clinton High School. She was employed at JC Penney, Clinton Wholesale Foods, and owned the Unique Shop.

She was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Clinton Chapter #65 Order of the Eastern Star, VFW Auxiliary in Bettendorf, and a board member of the Camanche Historical Society. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

She is survived by four sons: William (Cathy) Anson of Iowa City, Tracy (Kathy) Anson of Clinton, Glenn Anson of Camanche, and David (Tammy) Anson of Iowa City, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Robert (Betty) Jensen of Atoka, Tennessee, and Eugene Jensen of Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.

Memorials may be made to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church or to the family to be divided to various charities.
