Debra L. Broadrick, 57, of Clinton, passed away, Friday, October 10, 2014 at her home after a courageous battle with ALS.

Debra Lynn Cleveland was born on September 17, 1957 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Eugene and Sherry (Campbell) Cleveland. She was a 1976 graduate of Clinton High School. She married William Broadrick on August 13, 1977 in Clinton.

Deb received her respiratory therapy certification from Clinton Community College in 1977. She was employed with Mercy Hospital as a respiratory therapist for 24 years. She also worked at Mercy Home Medical Equipment.

Deb was an organizer of the 1976 Clinton High School class reunion, a member of the Eagles Club serving as its Auxillary treasurer, treasurer of Clinton Junior Wrestling for many years, a member of the Clinton County Gateway Genealogy Group, past president of the Elijah Buell PTA, and a member of the Clinton NeeHi’s.

Deb is survived by her husband: William “Bill” of Clinton; two sons: Jacob Broadrick of Chicago, Illinois, Brent Broadrick of Clinton; one granddaughter: Lauralia Broadrick of Clinton; two brothers: James “Buzz” (Jean) Bradour of Clinton, and Emory (Teresa) Cleveland of Des Moines; and her mother and father-in-law: Mary and David Broadrick of Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
