The Clinton Herald Monday December 11, 1978 p. 11 Laura M. Beez, 86, 2500 N. 3rd St., died Saturday at Mercy Hospital. Mass of the Christian Burial was said at noon today in St. Irenaeus Church with the Rev. James Lawrence officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were made through Shadduck-Cannon Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Ray Horst, Ward Markley, Jay Lein, Frank L. Scofiedd, Robert Rutenbeck and Mark Rutenbeck. Miss Beez was born Jan. 13, 1892, in Lyons, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Tighe Beez. She attended Lyons schools and OUr Lady of Angels Academy. For 35 years, she was an employee of Illinois Bell Telephone Co. in Chicago, and she moved back to Clinton after her retirement in 1957. She was a member of St. Irenaeus Church and Our Lady of Fatima Society. Survivors include her niece, Jaqueline (Mousel) Rutenbeck of Clinton; grandnephew Mark Rutenbeck of Clinton; and grandnieces Carol and Susan Rutenbeck. She was preceded in death by a half sister and two stepsisters.
