Clinton Herald Wednesday June 16, 1999, p. 9. Jack R. Crowley, 71, of DeWitt, died Monday in his home. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Catholic Church in DeWitt. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today in Nelson Funeral Home, DeWitt, where a 4 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. Scripture service, followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary, will be conducted. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, with military rites by the DeWitt American Legion. Pallbearers will be Art Barber and Hugh McAleer, and grandsons: Jimmy Fischer, Churck Selser, John C. Crowley, Blake Edwards, Mitchell Havemann and Nicholas Jobst. He was born Aug. 26, 1927, in Welton, to Vincent E. and Clare A. Farrell Crowley. He married M. Audrey Floerchinger, May 10, 1949, in DeWitt. She died in 1993. He was a graduate of Welton High School and had served in the United States Army with the 82nd Airborne. He also was a paratrooper instructor. He had been employed for sevreal years in banking, first with DeWitt Bank & Trust for 15 years and then with First National Bank in Galena, Ill., for nine years. For the last 24 years he had owned and operated PRO Realty in DeWitt, where he remained active as a Realtor. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Springbrook Country Club, DeWitt Area Realtors Association and Art's Barbershop Quartet, all of DeWitt. He was a member of the Iowa Board of Realtors. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Diane M. (Max Matthiesen) Crowley of DeWitt, Mrs. Janelle A. (Wesley Jost) Crowley of Cary, Ill,. Mrs. Michaela J. (Mark) Havemann of McHenry, Ill., and Mrs. Meaghan E. (Peter) Jobst of Lake in the Hills, Ill.; two sons, Craig A. Crowley of DeWitt, and J. Yvo Crowley of Hortonville, Wis.; 15 grandchildren; a great-grandson; and three brothers, Patrick Crowley of Welton, Jerome Crowley of Wadsworth, Ohio, and Thomas C. Crowley of Edina, Minn. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Death date: June 14, 1999
