Millicent Lucile Weber was born in DeWitt, on October 2, 1921, to Herbert Boyer and Irma (Peters) Boyer. She graduated from the DeWitt Public Schools in 1939 and was a lifetime member of the DeWitt United Methodist Church. On August 12, 1940, Millicent Boyer married Lyle Weber in Kahoka, Missouri, and shortly thereafter they moved to a farm north of DeWitt. They raised four children there and lived on that farm for over 60 years. They moved into DeWitt in Oct. 2002.

Millicent’s life revolved around her family, helping with the farming, church activities including teaching Sunday School for 13 years, church circles, Birthday Club, and all her church friends she called her guardian angels.

She is survived by sons, Allyn of George West, Texas, and Ron (Doxie) of Nevada, Iowa; 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, with another due in December, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Millicent was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lyle, after 68 years of marriage; a son, Richard; a daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Gary Fuglsang; a daughter-in-law, Kris Weber; a sister, Delores Peek and a brother, Leon Boyer.

Her family thanks the wonderful staff at Westwing in DeWitt for the loving care she received, and for the laughter they shared with her during her years there. We know she was in good and gentle hands.
