Glenna “Kay” (Mrs Pete) Sinclair, 80, of DeWitt, Iowa, died peacefully in her home Saturday, September 20, 2014.

Glenna Kay Sinclair was born August 20, 1934, in Richmond, Kentucky, to Preston and Flora (Mullikin) Brewer. Glenna “Kay” married Pete Sinclair on December 13, 1962, in Richmond, Kentucky. Kay was employed by the Department of Defense for over 30 years. She held many positions throughout her career, and retired working for Procurement, Purchasing and Supply at the Rock Island Arsenal. Pete preceded her in death on September 16, 2009.

Kay was a loving wife of over 46 years, and a dedicated mother to her nine children. Kay loved researching family genealogy and sharing the information with anyone who would listen. She also enjoyed crafts, painting, organizing family events, and Schwan’s Delivery.

Surviving are her children, Clifford "Jack" Sinclair, Joliet, Illinois, Peter James (Lora) Sinclair, Louisville, Kentucky, Carol (Ron) Sossong and Loretta Sinclair, Joliet, Illinois, Robert (Lorretta) Sinclair, Ridgecrest, California, Robert (Sandra) Antle, Wilmington, Illinois, Debra (Dave) Kent, Center Point, Iowa, Julia Sinclair, Lusby, Maryland, Jeff Sinclair, Grand Prairie, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a special niece, Rhonda Wilson, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

In addition to her husband, Pete, she was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Clark Sinclair; and a sister Margie Gatheral.

Visitation will be from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, Pastor Dianne Prichard officiating. Kay will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Rock Island National Cemetery.
