Hallie M. Howes age 86 of Fulton, IL passed away Saturday Aug. 30, 2014 at Harbor Crest Nursing Home in Fulton. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday Sept. 3rd at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton. Visitation will be held Wednesday 10:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home. Hallie was born on Dec. 12, 1928 in rural Muscatine, IA, the daughter of Ira and Maude Dousenberry. She married Charles Howes on Oct. 19, 1946 in Muscatine, Iowa. She owned and operated Midway Market on Hwy. 84 for many years. She also worked at the Ben Franklin Store and was a notary public. She enjoyed fishing, playing the organ, and listening to religious music.

Hallie is survived by her husband, Charles Howes of Fulton; two sons, David and Douglas Howes both of Fulton; a grandson, Phillip and two great grandchildren, Catarina and Charlie. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Charles, three sisters, and three brothers.
