Betty Lou Dellit age 87 of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the Eagle Point Nursing Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M. on Friday, August 29, 2014 at Prince of Peace Parish where a Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Betty was born in Clinton County on June 24, 1927, the daughter of Frank and Bertilla (McGinn) McClimon. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1946. Betty married Wayne Dellit on June 24, 1947 in Clinton. Wayne passed away on March 21, 2006. Betty had been a bookkeeper with McKinley-Hummelguard and later with Witt’s Distributing and Blinkensop Distributing. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish, the Fulton Country Club, YWCA, Moose Auxiliary, Prince of Peace Auxiliary and the AMVETS Auxiliary. She enjoyed golfing, bowling and water activities on the Mississippi.

Betty is survived by her sister, Mary T. “Cookie” Hansen of Clinton; a brother-in-law, Ray (Dorcas) Dellit of Clinton; a sister-in-law, Harriet Rajcevich of Clinton and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father and two brothers, Jim and Jack McClimon. The family would like to thank the staff at Eagle Point for their care of Betty over the years.
