Michael A. Kramer, Sr. age 65 of Clinton, passed away Monday Aug. 25, 2014 at Mercy North Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM Thursday Aug. 28th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday 4 – 7 PM at the funeral home. Cremation rites will follow the funeral service. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society. Michael was born on May 3, 1949 in Clinton, the son of Gene and Ardelle (Lampe) Kramer. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1967. He married Vicky Sisler on Feb. 14, 1985 in Clinton. He owned and operated Mike Kramer’s Shell Station in Clinton and also worked as a car salesman with Clinton Lincoln & Mercury. He enjoyed fishing, going to the casino, ballgames, and the Clinton Showboat. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Michael is survived by his wife, Vicky of Clinton; four children, Michael (Amy) Kramer, Jr. of Camanche, Michelle (Tim) Carpenter of Clinton, Gary (Keri) Kramer of Clinton, and Chris Smolek of Clinton; 8 grandchildren, Ashley, Molly, Brennan, Christopher, Paige, Allyson, Darien, and Riley; his father, Gene Kramer of Clinton; two brothers, Jim (Gina) Kramer of Ely, IA and John (Annmarie) Kramer of Lynchburg, VA; three sisters, Rita (Martin) Garshak of Clinton, Debra Kramer of Dixon, IL, and Penny (Todd) Brown of Ankeny, IA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, Gary.
