ELIZABETH HUENGER
Elizabeth Huenger, 76, 2511 North 2nd Street, Clinton, died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in Jane Lamb Hospital. Funeral services will be held at the Pape Funeral Home Thursday at 2 p.m., Canon F.G.William of Grace Episcopel church will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.
Elizabeth Huenger was born on Sept. 26, 1881, the daughter of John and Anna Wilkens Burmeister. In 1901 she was married to David Hodson in Clinton. He preceded her in death. She operated the first wallpaper and paint store in Clinton. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. William Kerr, Clinton; one son, David M. Hodson, of Munster, Indiana; two step-sons, Harold E. Huenger, Whittier, Calif., and Clifton A. Huenger of Valparaiso, Indiana; one brother, Emil Burmeister, Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, three sisters, and one step-son.
