The Clinton Herald Tuesday September 6, 1994 p 11 The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home for Marvin L. Olson, 79, of 618 19th Ave. S., who died Sunday at University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City. The Rev. Robert Wegehoft of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiated. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Mr. Olson was born March 17, 1915, in Clinton, to Adolph and Carrie Olson Olson. He married Evelyn Neff, March 13, 1943, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1942-45. He was a tank farm operator at Clinton Corn Processing Company, retiring in 1979. He was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Clinton, and was a member of the Clinton Corn 25-Year Club. He enjoyed gardening and hunting. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Kenneth of Clinton, and Richard of St. Louis, Mo.; a sister, Valeria Keiser of Clinton; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers. Death date: Sept. 4, 1994.
