Curt James Bundy’s battle with cancer ended Monday, March 24, 2014 at his home in Clinton. He spent his final months surrounded by the unwavering love and support of his mother, Marcella, and other family members.

Curt was born on July 2, 1961 to Frank (Jack) and Marcella (Proulx) Bundy in Clinton, Iowa. He attended St. Mary’s High School and went on to earn a degree from St. Ambrose University. Curt lived in many different places including the Quad Cities, Iowa City, Kansas City, and Shawnee, before settling back in Clinton, Iowa.

Curt was a hard worker and began working at a young age. He worked with Enterprise, Progressive Insurance, and Sitel Inc. However, he found his work with CJB LLC and the ill and disabled most rewarding. Even at his most ill, his compassion for others shone through in his spirit and warmth toward friends and family. He found ways to give back and take care of those he loved in any way he could, making a difference in more lives than he probably ever knew.

Curt was blessed to have known love, and developed an empathy that made him a guide for younger family and friends who faced similar struggles. Not a physically large man, the size of his heart, his bravery, and his compassion made him a hero standing tall, and strong nonetheless.

Curt will be remembered for his quick wit, spirit of adventure and tenaciousness that allowed him to have so many diverse endeavors. He was someone who had a zest for life and loved people. He had a laugh that was contagious and was music to the ears. He was a fiercely independent and honest man- to know him was a treasure and adventure.

Curt enjoyed travel and was fortunate enough to have visited most of Europe, including the Vatican, and most of the United States, but his real love was California. He loved to regale his friends and family with the stories of his amazing life experiences. He also enjoyed history, bowling, music, fine food , and simply having fun.

He will be lovingly missed and remembered by those that his is survived by, including his mother Marcella Bundy (Clinton), siblings; Sandra Jacobs (Clinton), Candance Evans (North Liberty), Ed (Brenda) Stremlow (Clinton), Debbie (Lee) Hasse (The Villages ,Florida), Jeff Stremlow (Sparks ,Nevada), Donna (Jeff) Worf, (Elgin,Illinois), and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews that he was so proud of. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Bundy, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be 10:30 Am Monday, March 31, 2014 at Prince of Peace, Clinton. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig assisted the family with arrangements. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am until the service hour Monday at the church. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting his obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
