Shirley R. Lewis-Andresen, 76, of Clinton, passed away, Friday, March 7, 2014 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics – Iowa City, Iowa.
A memorial visitation will be Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 4:00-7:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. A short prayer will conclude the visitation.

Shirley Rae Lewis was born on August 27, 1937 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Al and Dorothy (Clark) Lewis.

Shirley worked a Nielsen’s for many years.

Shirley enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed swimming, roller skating, and bowling.

Shirley is survived by two daughters: Karla (John) Singer of Clinton, Jane (Delvin) Shepherd of Goose Lake, Iowa; one son: Bob (Jean) Winter of Clinton, 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, two brothers: Rich (Lois) Lewis of Clinton, Pete (Diane) Lewis of Clinton, and one sister; Sandy (Roger Tholen) Higginbotham of Clinton, and many nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Memorials can be made to the Palliative Care Program at the University of Iowa.
