Martha A. Johnson, 101, of Clinton, passed away, Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Alverno in Clinton.

Funeral Services will be 11AM Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Zion Lutheran Church, Clinton. Visitation will be Saturday from 10AM until the service hour at the church. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery.

Martha was born May 7, 1912 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Herman F. and Louise (Winkle) Thoms. She was a 1932 Clinton High School graduate. Martha Thoms married Einar Johnson on December 18, 1938 in Berlin, WI; he died June 17, 1980.

She was a homemaker. Martha was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Naomi Circle and the Altar Guild of the church.

Martha is survived by her son, Einar L. (Jody) Johnson; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, six brothers and her step-son.
