Joyce E. Andersen age 79 of Clinton, passed away Saturday March 8, 2014 at her home.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday March 13th at the Church of the Open Door, Clinton. Visitation will be held Wednesday 4 – 7 PM at the Church of the Open Door. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be her grandsons. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com

Joyce was born on Oct. 1, 1934 in Clinton, the daughter of Murlin and Colletta (Manning) Jordan. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1952. She married Arnold Andersen of almost 61 years on April 29, 1953 in Preston, IA. Joyce was a homemaker and she and her husband farmed their entire life. She enjoyed scrapbooking and cross stitching.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Arnold; five children, Andrea (Gary) Hill of Camanche, Arlen (Rosie) Andersen of DeWitt, Aaron (Ty) Andersen of Clinton, Annette (Tim) Bice of Clinton, and Alisa (Dennis) McClenning of Camanche; 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and a great-great grandson; a sister, Janet Turner of Clinton; and a sister-in-law, Jean Schulz of Miles. She was preceded in death by her parents and a great grandson, Dylan Andersen, and two brothers-in-law.
