Arleta L. Hardt age 83 of Clinton, died Friday February 14, 2014 at Mercy Living Center North. Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM Tuesday February 18th at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the service time on Tuesday. Burial will be at Linwood Cemetery in Dubuque at 11:30 AM on Wednesday February 19th. Pall bearers are Zack Wagner, Ryan Chapman, Mike McManus, Alan Kimmer, Andrew Raab and Ethan Chapman. Honorary pall bearers are Dallas McManus and Michael Kimmer.

Arleta was born on September 15, 1930 the daughter of Ervin and Alvina (Neimann) Backes. She married Frederick Hardt on July 8, 1951 in Garnavillo, IA. Frederick passed away on January 15, 2004. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clinton. Arleta enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and embroidering.

Arleta is survived by her son; Ronald (Jackie) Hardt of Clinton, 4 step granddaughters, 13 step great grandchildren, a sister; Shirley (John) Pake of Wonewoc, WI, a brother; Royce Backes of Garnavillo, IA, and several nieces and nephews.
